Its so dark here and even during daylight hours the sun has not been out much........
So bright clothes with a touch of white needed to perk ourselves up and maybe even a bit of bling near the face to put a sparkle in our eyes

Jet Lag
Came home to England on wednesday after 12 weeks in Sydney and boy do I have jet lag. When I went out to Australia in mid October I felt tired but apart from waking up early I felt fine....NOT coming home. I can hardly keep awake in the afternoons, go to bed at 7pm and am wide awake again at 10pm. Eventually get back to sleep but wake up every couple of hours
This picture was taken on a chilly evening hence the mis-matched outfit. I only took one cardigan to Sydney which meant it had to go with everything. Never mind it kept me warm !

Another New Year
Hi my name is Geraldine and I am 53.
I have always loved fashion and keeping up with trends but now I am in my 50s I constanly ask myself if I can wear certain things.
What length should my skirts be ? Can I still wear tight trousers ? How long can I wear my hair ?
Therefore I thought I would start to write down my discoveries and put them on a blog.....so here goes.
I have found that by looking pictures I can see at a glance what looks good and what is terrible.
We all know when we go out of the house in something that is not right we don't feel good about ourselves. Therefore by looking at pictures of ourselves we can cast a critical eye..........and probably not wear that outfit again, or love the effect and work out why.
Is it the colour or fit or style or a combination ? Did someone compliment you or said you looked as if you had lost weight. Keep a note in your mind and next time you dress choose those colours or style of clothing again.

- I have learnt over the last few years that strong colours are best with my colouring so look for those tones when shopping
